Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Speedos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexis Arukis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arukis throws a hook but Speedos avoids it easily.
Arukis blocks a head kick by Speedos.
Speedos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Arukis defends it nicely.
Arukis turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Speedos throws a head kick but Arukis moves out of range.
Speedos looks to throw the jab but Arukis is out of range.
Arukis lets loose with a powerful body kick. Speedos will feel that in the morning.
The fighters circling - Arukis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Speedos connects with a body shot that sends Arukis's belly button to the back.
Speedos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Speedos takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Speedos is breathing heavily.
Speedos tries a low kick but Arukis avoids it.
Speedos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Arukis was well out of range. Poor timing from Speedos.
Speedos misses with a low kick.
Arukis throws a head kick but Speedos moves out of range.
Arukis dodges the punch combination from Speedos.
Speedos takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Arukis forces Speedos back against the cage and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arukis has Speedos pressed against the cage, preventing Speedos from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Arukis obliges.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Arukis continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
The crowd are getting on Arukis's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Arukis with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Arukis crunches a lovely knee into Speedos's ribcage.
Arukis tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Speedos drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Speedos wants to break free but Arukis has control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Arukis putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Speedos in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Arukis connects with a nasty looking knee right to Speedos's face.
Arukis lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Arukis lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Speedos goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Arukis in side control.

Speedos is rocked!

It looks like Ken Speedos has been cut.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Arukis lands a strong strike to the head of Speedos. That's dazed him! Arukis looking to finish here. Speedos is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Arukis lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexis Arukis!
