Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein comes to the cage accompanied by Dead Skin Mask. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ed Gein!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Banks!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Banks moves out of range of the strikes.
Gein throws a head kick that misses.
Banks goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gein throws a head kick but Banks moves out of range.
Gein catches Banks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gein tries to land a leg kick but Banks saw it coming and moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice body kick there by Gein.
Banks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ed Gein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gein counters with a left to the body.
Banks looks gassed!
Banks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gein manages to avoid it.
Gein looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Gein instigates a clinch.
Banks wants to break free but Gein has control.
Gein gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Banks misses with a short punch on the inside.
Gein lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gein lands a good knee to the midsection. Banks won't want to take too many of those.

Gein lands a knee to the head.
Gein tries a body shot but Banks blocks it.
Gein gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Banks.
Gein scores with a nice hook to the head.
Gein lands an elbow inside that Banks shrugs off.
Banks lands a body punch in the clinch.
Banks swings wildly with an uppercut but Gein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Banks swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Banks can't get the takedown.
Gein putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Banks in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Banks misses with a hook to the ribs.

Banks trying to control the position but instead, Gein has worked for underhooks and has pushed Banks into the cage.
Banks has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Banks lands a hook that snaps the head of Gein backwards.
Gein throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Banks blocks it with crossed arms.
Banks wants to break the clinch but can't.
Banks wants to break free but Gein has control.
Banks tries to work over Gein's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Banks wants to take the fight to the mat but Gein manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ed Gein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Banks.
Gein lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Banks is trying to break the clinch but Gein has him pressed against the cage.

Banks has a couple of punches blocked by Gein.

Banks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A solid body kick from Gein.
Banks throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gein.
Gein keeps Banks at a distance using the push kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gein lands a big head kick that sends Banks to the canvas! Gein follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
