The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OLeary misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by OLeary!
OLeary throws a nice looking combination but Mason bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mason takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
OLeary rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mason moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mason slips a jab and a cross from OLeary.
Mickey OLeary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mason tries to close the distance and clinch up but OLeary swats him away and circles back towards the center.

OLeary wants to break free but Mason has control.
Mason tries to pull guard but OLeary holds him up against the cage and eventually Mason drops back down to his feet.

OLeary is pressed up against the cage. Mason has hold of a leg and is looking to drag OLeary down to the mat. OLeary avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

OLeary catches Mason with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

OLeary cracks Mason with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mason shoots for a takedown but OLeary saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mason walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mason closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into OLeary's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Mason thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mason has gone for a leg lock! OLeary slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mason's guard.
OLeary wanted to stand there but Mason had control of the position.

Mason is looking to sinch up a triangle. OLeary throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mason's body to avoid the submission. Mason has instead reached around OLeary's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mason arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
