Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Charcoal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamus McFey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charcoal misses with a hook.
McFey walks into a jab.
Charcoal misses with a straight left.
Mr Charcoal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McFey takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Charcoal with a lazy takedown attempt
and McFey counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd cheers as Charcoal lands an impressive looking overhand right. McFey doesn't seem phased though.

Charcoal is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
McFey does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Charcoal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McFey.

Charcoal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McFey sprawls well. McFey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Charcoal gets slowly back to his feet.

Charcoal stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McFey.
McFey throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Charcoal tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McFey is in Charcoal's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Charcoal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Charcoal is looking for a triangle but McFey pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Charcoal wants to sweep here but McFey controlling him for the moment.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Charcoal shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McFey eats them both and turns towards Charcoal to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Charcoal lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Charcoal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McFey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Charcoal's waist but Charcoal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McFey off to one side.
Charcoal lands a nice shot that snaps McFey's head back.
Charcoal thows a body kick. McFey tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Charcoal throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
McFey takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

McFey is breathing heavily.

McFey has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
McFey tries to move into range but Charcoal moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Charcoal sizes up McFey with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

McFey gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Charcoal lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Charcoal postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have McFey in real trouble here! The ref calls for McFey to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
