Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Winston Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wade Winston Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Elliot!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson misses with a body kick.
Wade Winston Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Elliot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Elliot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilson's waist but Wilson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Elliot off to one side.
Wilson slaps away a takedown attempt from Elliot, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wade Winston Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Elliot.
Wilson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Elliot.
Wilson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Elliot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilson was covering up waiting for the punch and Elliot finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wade Winston Wilson.
Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch but Elliot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Elliot is defended easily by Wilson.
Elliot looks for a takedown but Wilson sprawls well.

Elliot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilson but Wilson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Elliot counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wilson wants to stand and escape but Elliot is having none of it.
Elliot postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Elliot loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Wilson wants to get back to his feet but Elliot is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Elliot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wilson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilson wants to stand but Elliot is controlling the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Elliot's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elliot postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wilson wants to stand and escape but Elliot is having none of it.
Wilson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Elliot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Elliot works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Elliot dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Wilson closes the distance and pushes Elliot back into the cage.
Elliot has had enough of the clinch but Wilson keeps him there for the moment.

Elliot pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson connects with an inside leg kick.
Wilson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Wilson darts in trying to clinch

and Elliot counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Elliot is looking to advance position but Wilson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Elliot tries to lock up and control but Wilson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Wilson is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
No luck for Elliot with that takedown attempt.
Elliot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilson tries to avoid it but Elliot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilson to the ground. Wilson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Wilson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

It looks like Ray Elliot has been cut.
Elliot is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wilson is keeping busy.
Wilson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Elliot blocks it with crossed arms.

Elliot chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wilson can pounce on him.

I would just about give that final round to Ray Elliot.
I think Elliot has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
