Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Merik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Hunt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Comfortably Numb. The key to victory for Grant Brophy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brophy moves in looking to clinch but Hunt pushes him off.

Hunt lands a nice shot that snaps Brophy's head back.
Hunt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brophy is pressed up against the cage. Hunt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brophy down to the mat. Brophy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Grant Brophy will probably get the nod.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brophy holds on and takes a little breather.
Brophy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hunt is nestled in close to Brophy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Brophy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunt on the ground.
