Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Van Dam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magne Midgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Midgard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Crazy Train. Magne Midgard acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midgard checks a leg kick.
Dam misses with a body shot.
Dam just misses with a punch to the body.
Midgard misses with a wild body shot.
Midgard lands a really nice looking cross but Dam seems unphased.
Midgard throws out a loose jab but Dam uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dam connects with a body shot that sends Midgard's belly button to the back.

Midgard slips a jab and a cross from Dam.
Dam misses the shot to the body.
Good leg kick by Midgard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Midgard closes the distance and clinches.

Midgard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dam's guard.
Dam is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Midgard throws and elbow that misses. Dam uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Midgard's guard. Nice move by Dam!

Dam throws a strike but Midgard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Dam wants to improve his position but instead Midgard has moved into half guard.

Dam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Midgard on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dam tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Midgard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Midgard passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dam!

Midgard swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dam is now in Midgard's guard. A big mistake from Midgard there, giving up the dominant position!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Magne Midgard will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dam throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Midgard finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Midgard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dam takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Midgard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Midgard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Midgard misses with a low kick.
Dam fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Midgard is out of range.
Midgard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dam stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Midgard throws a sloppy head kick and Dam moves out of range easily.
Dam throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Midgard throws a leg kick but Dam sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Magne Midgard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Midgard drops Dam with a big knee straight up the middle! Dam is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Van Dam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Midgard. That's going to slow Dam down.
Oh Dam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crack! Midgard connects with the perfect overhand right and Dam falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Midgard!
