With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Jones!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flay throws a front kick aimed at Jones's knee but Jones avoids it well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flay connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Flay throws a combination. Jones tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Dave Jones has been cut.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Flay here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Flay feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Flay creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jones sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Flay scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Jones is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Flay can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

After winning the bout, Bobby Flay thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
