The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua misses with a takedown

and Beck counters by clinching up.
Beck lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rua backwards.
Good body shot from Beck.
Rua is working for takedown but Beck is calmly controlling the position for now.
Beck softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Beck lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Beck lands a shoulder strike.

It looks like Marcelo Rua has been cut.
Rua drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Beck lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Rua.
Beck lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Beck lands with a left to the head.
Beck gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rua.
Rua is breathing heavily.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Beck creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Rua seems to have got his legs back now.
Beck lands a right hand.
Beck softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Beck creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rua with a big uppercut! Rua tries to clinch up but Beck pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rua to the mat! Rua covers up and Beck unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
