Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Turcotte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jukkis Karvakorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karvakorva has chosen AC DC Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Jukkis Karvakorva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karvakorva shoots and misses
and Turcotte counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Turcotte fails to land the takedown.

Karvakorva throws a predictable looking body shot

and Turcotte counters with a nice double leg into side control. Karvakorva won't be happy with that.

Karvakorva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Karvakorva is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Turcotte gets his way!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Turcotte is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
