Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rumble Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumble Lord will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lord closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Carwin is trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lord wants to pass the guard but Carwin is keeping the position.
Lord throws a big right hand that misses.
Lord with a flurry of punches that miss.
Carwin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carwin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lord is aware though and is defending well.

Lord lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lord tries to pass to full mount but Carwin defends it.

Carwin is refusing to be controlled, as Lord sits in half guard.
Lord is looking to stall here but Carwin recovers full guard.
Lord missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Carwin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Carwin pulls Lord in to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carwin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rumble Lord hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lord scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Lord shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Lord lands a big elbow.
Carwin is bucking up trying to escape but Lord cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lord pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Carwin is rocked!
Carwin is breathing heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Lord! Carwin is hurt baaadly! Lord is firing away with more strikes - Carwin is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
