And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kurokawa Kenji!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenji misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Sackett to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Kurokawa Kenji has been cut.
Kurokawa Kenji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Kenji misses its intended target.
Kenji tries to land a front kick but Sackett steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kenji is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kenji misses with a right hand
and Sackett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kenji uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kenji throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.
Kenji misses with a wild body shot.
Good work by Kenji as he checks the leg kick.
Sackett walks into a stiff left hand from Kenji.
Kenji throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

letting Sackett counter with a right hand.

Kenji throws a hook to the side of Sackett's head but Sackett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kenji misses with a jab to the body
and Sackett makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kenji fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sackett blocks a jab.
Sackett avoids the head kick by Kenji.
Nice body punch from Kenji.
Kenji misses with a left hand
and Sackett counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kenji just misses with a punch to the body.
Kenji moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Sackett moves out of range as Kenji throws a body kick.
Kenji misses with a leg kick
and Sackett counters with an outside leg kick.
Kenji wants to clinch up but Sackett keeps it at a distance.
Kenji misses with a hook
and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kenji moves in looking to clinch but Sackett pushes him off.
Sackett scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Sackett is looking to slow Kenji down with leg kicks.

and Sackett counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kenji throws a hook to the side of Sackett's head but Sackett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sackett connects with a solid leg kick.
Sackett throws a jab but it's blocked by Kenji.
Kenji tries to score with a low kick but Sackett moves his leg out of the way.
Sackett misses with a kick to the body
and Kenji counters with a nice body shot.
Kenji misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Sackett scores with a jab to the jaw.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sackett.
Sackett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kenji was well out of range. Poor timing from Sackett.
Decent striking displayed by Sackett there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sackett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kenji on the side of the head.
Kenji misses with a lunging right hand
and Sackett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kenji takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Horrible takedown by Sackett or perhaps it was just good defense by Kenji which made him look bad.
Kenji has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sackett finds it's way round the side to connect with Kenji's head.


That has opened up Kurokawa Kenji's cut even more.
Sackett is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kenji thows a leg kick but Sackett checks it
and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.
Kenji throws a body punch but Sackett moves out of range.
Kenji tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Sackett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sackett tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kenji misses with a right hand
and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.
Sackett on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kenji. Kenji obviously looking to wear him down.
Sackett lands a head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kin Ring Sackett dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kurokawa Kenji's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kenji checks the leg kick.
Kenji fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sackett darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.


The cut above Kurokawa Kenji's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kenji throws a right hand that Sackett ducks under and follows up with a left that Sackett also avoids with ease.
Sackett circles away from the clinch attempt.
A head kick by Kenji misses
and Sackett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sackett on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Sackett takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kenji misses with a low kick.
Nice defenses there by Sackett.
Kenji looks to throw a body kick
and Sackett counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kenji's knee momentarily.

A head kick misses from Kenji.
Kenji throws a leg kick
and Sackett counters with a good low kick that Kenji was not able to check.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Kenji might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Sackett has got the better of the exchanges.
Kenji fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sackett manages to avoid it.
Kenji throws an off balance right hand
and Sackett counters with a straight right hand.
Kenji takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kenji moves to clinch but Sackett breaks away
enabling Sackett to counter with a crisp jab.
Kenji misses with a lunging right hand
and Sackett counters with a good, hard body kick but Kenji shrugs it off.
Kenji is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sackett scores with a nice body kick.
Sackett looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sackett lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


Kurokawa Kenji's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sackett uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kenji doesn't manage to clinch there - Sackett circles away.
Sackett scores with a nice body kick.
Sackett throws an overhand right that lands on Kenji's shoulder, as Kenji tries to avoid the shot.
Sackett thuds his right hand into Kenji's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kenji throws a right hand that misses
and Sackett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kurokawa Kenji's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kin Ring Sackett!
