Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bala Bala!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bala on the ground.

Bala escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bala swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cage slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Bala is looking for a triangle but Cage pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bala looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bala is trying to control the position but Cage postures up.

Bala had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cage defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Cage will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Cage scores with a nice strike.
Bala takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Cage fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Cage feints and then cracks Bala's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bala down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Cage.
Cage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bala shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cage counters with a lovely shot to the body.

A chopping leg kick lands by Cage.
Bala circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnny Cage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bala takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bala rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cage counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cage misses with a lunging right hand

and Bala counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bala tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cage's legs.

Bala tries for a kimura but Cage is defending well.
Bala takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bala is looking to take a break and control but Cage is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bala passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cage!
Bala prevents Cage from getting the reversal.
Bala trying to control but Cage is having none of it.
Cage is trying to escape the mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bala goes for an armbar but Cage turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Cage.

Bala has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bala looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cage is one step ahead there.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Cage.
Well Cage has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
