Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rise Against -Prayer Of The Refugee. Liam Jones has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Riley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.

Riley shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Riley seems to be looking for submissions.
Riley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Riley trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riley throws a strike but Jones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Riley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Riley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Riley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

Jones moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Riley has worked his arm free - good work by Riley!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Riley drags him back down.

Riley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.
Jones manages to work his way to half guard, despite Riley's best efforts.
Riley is just content to waste time from the top position. Jones takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Riley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Riley looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Riley is working for a kimura but Jones is defending it quite comfortably.
Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Riley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Riley's back!

That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Riley will probably get the nod.

Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones takes a swing at Riley's ribcage but misses.
Jones tries to bum rush Riley with a series of wild strikes but Riley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Billy Riley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Riley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Riley getting side control.

Riley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Riley thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Riley landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Riley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Riley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well.

Riley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Riley eventually gives up the hold.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Billy Riley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Billy Riley showed his dominance in that final round.
