Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vasiliy Arkhipov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhani Kontiovaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Kontiovaara. Arkhipov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Arkhipov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Juhani Kontiovaara has been cut.
Kontiovaara shoots in but Arkhipov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kontiovaara fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kontiovaara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arkhipov as he jumps to the side.
Kontiovaara walks into a stiff left hand from Arkhipov.
Arkhipov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Arkhipov.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Arkhipov drops Kontiovaara with a beautiful combination! Kontiovaara stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arkhipov is looking for the KO!

Kontiovaara is rocked!
Kontiovaara tries to bum rush Arkhipov with a series of wild strikes but Arkhipov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Arkhipov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kontiovaara backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kontiovaara looking for a takedown.
Vasiliy Arkhipov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juhani Kontiovaara.
Arkhipov lands a right hand.

That has opened up Juhani Kontiovaara's cut even more.

Arkhipov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Arkhipov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kontiovaara has time to react.
BOOM! Arkhipov lands a beautiful left hook that drops Kontiovaara. Kontiovaara tries to recover but Arkhipov is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Kontiovaara lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
