Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Kiilopaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smith Wesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiilopaa's entrance music is Extreme Ways. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesson lands a head kick!

It looks like Pertti Kiilopaa has been cut.
Kiilopaa tries to clinch up but Wesson circles away and keeps his distance.

Wesson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Wesson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kiilopaa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wesson stacks Kiilopaa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wesson!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wesson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kiilopaa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wesson throws an elbow but Kiilopaa slips to the side and avoids it well.
Wesson is staying tight to Kiilopaa's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Wesson is looking to take a break and control but Kiilopaa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Wesson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kiilopaa is just riding it out for now. Wesson eventually gives up the hold.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wesson connects with a nice short shot to Kiilopaa's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kiilopaa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wesson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kiilopaa on the side of the head.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kiilopaa has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wesson.

Wesson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wesson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
BOOM! Wesson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wesson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wesson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kiilopaa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kiilopaa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Wesson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kiilopaa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kiilopaa shrugs it off.

Wesson has hold of Kiilopaa's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kiilopaa manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Wesson is nestled in close to Kiilopaa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well Wesson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
