Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Herbie Hide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kreg Yamovitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hide kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Taste of ink -The Used. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamovitch looks to land a left hand but Hide moved out of range nicely.
Yamovitch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kreg Yamovitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yamovitch gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hide.
Hide thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hide lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hide throws a nice outside leg kick.
Yamovitch swinging wildly here.
Hide connects with a looping right hand.

Hide moves into range and clinches up with Yamovitch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Hide is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yamovitch is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hide to the mat. Hide regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Yamovitch trying to control the position from guard on top but Hide is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hide wants to sweep but no luck.
Hide can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yamovitch controls the pace.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hide is on top in guard.
Hide trying to control the position from guard on top but Yamovitch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yamovitch is looking to stand up but Hide isn't so interested in that idea.
Hide lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hide pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yamovitch is keeping the position for now.
Yamovitch wants to stand up but Hide is controlling him.
Yamovitch is looking to stand back up but Hide counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Yamovitch.
Hide not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Yamovitch tries to kick Hide off but Hide keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Yamovitch looks gassed!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Yamovitch or perhaps it was just good defense by Hide which made him look bad.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Yamovitch fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hide clobbers Yamovitch with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hide tests Yamovitch's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Yamovitch walks into a straight right hand from Hide.

Yamovitch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hide to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hide controlling from the top position.
Hide slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hide advances nicely into full mount.
A nice elbow there by Hide.
Yamovitch taking shots to the head.
Hide with shots to the head and body - Yamovitch looks very uncomfortable down there.

Hide is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Yamovitch trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hide lands a big elbow.
Yamovitch is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Hide is landing with some decent strikes but Yamovitch is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hide trying to control but Yamovitch is having none of it.

Hide is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Yamovitch is forced to tap! Great finish!
