The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haapasalo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Nice sprawl there from Haapasalo as Korpisuo shoots in.
Haapasalo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Korpisuo tries to close the distance and clinch but Haapasalo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Haapasalo checks the leg kick.
Haapasalo lands a nice hook to Korpisuo's body. Korpisuo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Haapasalo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Korpisuo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Haapasalo cracks Korpisuo with a good jab.
Haapasalo misses with a double jab.
Haapasalo slips under a jab from Korpisuo.
Haapasalo checks a low kick from Korpisuo.
Korpisuo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Haapasalo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Haapasalo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Korpisuo's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haapasalo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Haapasalo kicks Korpisuo off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Korpisuo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Haapasalo circles away.

Haapasalo lands a brutal uppercut that launches Korpisuo off his feet! Korpisuo tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
