PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Jules (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Machiavelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machiavelli is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by August Burns Red - "11th Hour". Augustus Machiavelli told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jules fakes the leg kick and cracks Machiavelli in the body.
Jules thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Machiavelli if he has to take too many more of those.
Machiavelli avoids the head kick by Jules.
Jules thumps Machiavelli with a low kick.
Machiavelli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jules is fending him off so far but Machiavelli persists. Nope, Jules circles away and we're back to standing.
Machiavelli takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jules turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machiavelli shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jules as he avoids it easily.
Gregory Jules has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Augustus Machiavelli.

Jules goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Jules throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Jules throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jules bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jules lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Jules lands a big head kick that sends Machiavelli tumbling to the mat! Jules takes a step backwards and waves Machiavelli back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Augustus Machiavelli has been cut.
Jules lands a big head kick that sends Machiavelli to the canvas! Jules follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
