The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamovitch misses with a few strikes there.
Yamovitch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gardeau pinned against the cage. Gardeau gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No joy there for Yamovitch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gardeau stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gardeau wants it to stay on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kreg Yamovitch.

Gardeau fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yamovitch sprawls well initially but Gardeau persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
