Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Curtis Payne!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Payne looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Payne throws an overhand right that lands on Brewer's shoulder, as Brewer tries to avoid the shot.
Brewer misses with a leg kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Payne.

Payne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Payne is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brewer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Brewer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
