Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Dela Rosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jukkis Karvakorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Karvakorva's choice of entrance music: Slipknot - Before I Forget . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dela Rosa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karvakorva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Karvakorva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Karvakorva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Karvakorva trying to control from half guard but Dela Rosa is working away.
Dela Rosa tries to roll over but Karvakorva keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Karvakorva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dela Rosa swivels and escapes.

Karvakorva has control of Dela Rosa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dela Rosa regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Karvakorva lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
You get the feeling that Dela Rosa really doesn't like being in this position too much.
