Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between PJ Crayon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Begeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Begeman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Watcher. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, PJ Crayon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Begeman!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Begeman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Crayon is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Begeman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Crayon manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Begeman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Crayon, who protects the arm well.
Begeman cracks Crayon with a big right hand but Crayon just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Begeman fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crayon wants to get back to his feet but Begeman drags him back down.
The ground and pound from Begeman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Begeman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Begeman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Begeman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Crayon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Begeman tries to advance to mount but Crayon denies him.
Begeman is looking to take a break and control but Crayon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Crayon is trying to get back to his feet.
Begeman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crayon keeps working.
Crayon is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Crayon working aggressively here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A nice left hand lands by Begeman.

Begeman has Crayon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Begeman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Crayon tumbling to the mat - Begeman dives into Crayon's guard.
Begeman wants to control from the top but Crayon keeps moving.

Begeman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Let's hope that Begeman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Begeman works over Crayon with some ground and pound from guard.
Crayon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Begeman on the ground.

Crayon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Begeman is controlling him.
Begeman trying to control the position from guard on top but Crayon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Begeman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Crayon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

James Begeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Begeman shoots for a takedown but Crayon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Begeman with a jab.
Crayon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Crayon jabs Begeman right on the nose. Begeman blinks but takes it well.
Begeman's corner calls for a 1-2. Begeman obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Begeman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Crayon tries to escape but Begeman is in control.
Crayon is breathing heavily.
Crayon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Crayon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Begeman asserts his dominance and retains side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Begeman cracks Crayon with a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crayon throws a right and a left that Begeman avoids nicely.
PJ Crayon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Crayon moves out of range as Begeman strikes.
Crayon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Begeman.

Begeman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Begeman showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Begeman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
James Begeman has got the better of the ground game so far.
You get the feeling that Crayon really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Begeman is working for a guillotine from mount but Crayon frees his head quite easily.

Begeman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Crayon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Begeman lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Crayon hang on?
Crayon's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Begeman wants to control the pace but Crayon is squirming around nicely.
Begeman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Crayon's face.
Crayon is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Begeman lands a big shot there that rocks Crayon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

James Begeman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Crayon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Donk. Begeman catches Crayon right on the button with a cross.

Begeman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Crayon's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Begeman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Crayon has momentary wrist control but Begeman slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Begeman works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Begeman wants to control but Crayon is keeping him busy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crayon is in trouble now - Begeman has advanced to mount!

Begeman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well Begeman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
