The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pearse slaps away a takedown attempt from Richards, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Richards looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pearse!
Richards misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Pearse will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Richards up against the cage.

Pearse creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Richards's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Richards drops to his knees and Pearse pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
