Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chooch McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Miller!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller tries a head kick but it misses.
McGee looks for a takedown but Miller sprawls well.
McGee throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily.
Miller avoids a punch combination nicely.
Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from McGee. McGee gets slowly back to his feet.
McGee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Miller tries to bum rush McGee with a series of wild strikes but McGee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McGee tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller tries to clinch up but McGee circles away and keeps his distance.
James Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Miller pushes McGee up against the cage in a clinch.
Miller lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Miller avoids the elbow strike from McGee, against the cage.
McGee can't break the clinch.

Miller manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

McGee is looking to stand up but Miller won't let him.

Miller is taking a breather. McGee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McGee on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Miller is thwarting McGee's attempts to control the position.

Miller seems to be working for a kimura but McGee defends the submission attempt.
McGee is trying to stand up here but Miller is controlling him well.

Miller decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Miller shoots in and bounces McGee off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

McGee wants to get back to his feet but Miller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Miller moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McGee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Miller is looking to clinch but McGee is avoiding it.

Miller takes the fight into the clinch.
Miller tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

McGee circles away from the clinch attempt.
McGee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miller is fending him off so far but McGee persists. Nope, Miller circles away and we're back to standing.

Miller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Miller prevents McGee from getting back to his feet.
McGee tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McGee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McGee tries to control but Miller wriggling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McGee thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Miller manages to regain half guard. Good work.

McGee postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Miller to stand up.

Miller tries to bum rush McGee with a series of wild strikes but McGee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McGee tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Chooch McGee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miller swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McGee shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but McGee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Miller avoids a kick to the body.

McGee has momentary wrist control but Miller slips an elbow through the middle.
Miller wants to pass the guard but McGee is keeping the position.

McGee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Miller off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller shoots for a takedown but McGee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McGee misses with the combination.
McGee doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Miller bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McGee is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Miller is controlling him well.
James Miller has got the better of the ground game so far.
McGee sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
McGee trying to control but Miller postures up.
Miller stalling.

McGee is looking to improve his position.
Miller seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

James Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Miller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Miller tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McGee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Miller is lucky that one didn't land flush.
McGee has a takedown stuffed.
James Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

James Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
