Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fleegle bananasplits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ginchin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). bananasplits comes into the arena with tra la la by the banana splits blaring out of the sound system. Funakoshi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by mission impossible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Funakoshi is defended easily by bananasplits.
bananasplits throws an overhand right that lands on Funakoshi's shoulder, as Funakoshi tries to avoid the shot.
bananasplits lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
bananasplits misses with a few strikes there.
bananasplits throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
bananasplits takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice jab there from bananasplits.
bananasplits stuns Funakoshi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Funakoshi blocks a head kick by bananasplits.
Funakoshi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from bananasplits finds it's way round the side to connect with Funakoshi's head.
Funakoshi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
bananasplits looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Funakoshi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but bananasplits swivels and escapes.
bananasplits keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Ginchin Funakoshi has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

bananasplits bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Funakoshi's head.
bananasplits lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Funakoshi shoots in for a double leg but bananasplits sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fleegle bananasplits has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ginchin Funakoshi.

Fleegle bananasplits seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That has opened up Ginchin Funakoshi's cut even more.
Funakoshi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Funakoshi seems to have recovered his senses.

Funakoshi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Funakoshi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from bananasplits finds it's way round the side to connect with Funakoshi's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ginchin Funakoshi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
bananasplits lands a brutal head kick. Funakoshi looks out on his feet and bananasplits throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
