Gator comes to the cage accompanied by Drop it Like its Hot. The key to victory for Skeeter Gator has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gator shoots in but Velasquez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gator looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Velasquez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gator.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Skeeter Gator. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gator dives in and grabs Velasquez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Velasquez pushes down on Gator's head and hops out.
Gator fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gator scores with a spinning back kick!
Skeeter Gator seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Velasquez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Velasquez lands in his opponent's guard.
Velasquez is in close to Gator's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Gator utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Velasquez keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gator's head.
Velasquez distracts Gator with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Velasquez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Velasquez arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Gator's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
