Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaarlo Kustaa IV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fleegle bananasplits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bananasplits shoots in but no luck this time.

Kustaa IV has closed the distance and engaged bananasplits in a clinch.
bananasplits tries to pull guard but Kustaa IV holds him up against the cage and eventually bananasplits drops back down to his feet.

Kustaa IV manages to break the clinch.

Kustaa IV darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
bananasplits gets full guard.
bananasplits keeping moving, preventing Kustaa IV from controlling successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

bananasplits had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kustaa IV is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. bananasplits Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kustaa IV's back instead.
Kustaa IV trying to get back to his feet but bananasplits is in full control for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kustaa IV just trying to survive but bananasplits is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Kustaa IV controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

bananasplits is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kustaa IV has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but bananasplits has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kustaa IV taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. bananasplits doesn't care though - he's delighted!
