Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speedos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Escado.

Speedos feints and as Escado raises his hands in defense, Speedos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Speedos tries to free his leg and advance position but Escado is retaining full guard.

Speedos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Speedos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Speedos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Escado is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Speedos, into his guard.

Speedos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Escado is aware though and is defending well.

Speedos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Escado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Escado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Escado gets to his feet. Speedos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Speedos wants to take Escado's back here but Escado is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Speedos looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Speedos fails to take his opponent's back.
Escado is squirming around, avoiding Speedos's attempts to control the action.

Speedos goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Escado turns into him and now he's in Speedos's guard.

Speedos had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Escado is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Speedos Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Escado's back instead.

Escado fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Speedos sprawls well initially but Escado persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
