This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 38 wins and 12 losses; David Morrison Jr.! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Darian Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Morrison Jr. misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cruz tries for a takedown but Morrison Jr. sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Cruz instigates a clinch.
Morrison Jr. is pressed up against the cage. Cruz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Morrison Jr. down to the mat. Morrison Jr. avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Morrison Jr. tries to keep at a distance but Cruz has taken the fight into the clinch.

Morrison Jr. stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cruz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Morrison Jr. defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cruz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
