PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kron Kai (ranked 442 p4p, 1119 weight class) and Dave Beast (ranked 64 p4p, 156 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Beast has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kai.

Kai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kai has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Beast finds it's way round the side to connect with Kai's head.

Kai avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beast sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beast moves away.

Kai throws a counter high kick but Beast was just alert enough to avoid it.
Beast might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No joy there for Beast, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Beast is looking to clinch.
Beast sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Beast rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Beast might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kai has got the better of the exchanges.

Dave Beast's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dave Beast's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kron Kai!
After the fight, Kron Kai was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
