Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Huknberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jorge Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.

Huknberg pushes Diaz up against the cage in a clinch.

Huknberg pulls guard successfully.

Huknberg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Diaz being controlled here momentarily.
Diaz looking to sit in guard and control but Huknberg gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is trying to control the position but Huknberg postures up.
Diaz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Huknberg manages to get himself to full guard.

Huknberg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Diaz landing some decent shots from guard.
Huknberg seems keen to control Diaz's posture.
Huknberg continues to stall.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Diaz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Huknberg is keeping the position for now.
Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Huknberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Huknberg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Huknberg looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Diaz sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Huknberg doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Diaz paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Huknberg - great work!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Paul Huknberg!
Paul Huknberg decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
