Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Cole (ranked 1052 p4p, 1486 weight class) and John Brown (ranked 139 p4p, 181 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brown's choice of entrance music: I’ll Whip Ya Head Boy. James Cole has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 46 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, John Brown!

Brown darts in looking for a takedown but Cole gets double underhooks and turns Brown into the cage.

Brown closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brown lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

I was talking to Cole's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Cole.
