This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Flibbo Banino! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Winston Hyland!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Hyland stuffs the takedown attempt from Banino. Banino gets slowly back to his feet.
Banino fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hyland rushes Banino and presses him up against the cage.
Banino goes for a takedown attempt but Hyland pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hyland has closed the distance and engaged Banino in a clinch.
Banino stops a takedown attempt from Hyland.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banino fails to pull guard.

Banino jumps guard but Hyland turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Banino is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hyland gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hyland wants the takedown. Banino is fighting it off but Hyland persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Banino's guard against the cage.

Hyland drops back looking for a leg! Banino is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Banino manages to kick Hyland off! Hyland jumps back into Banino's guard.

Banino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hyland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banino swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Banino not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hyland is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hyland drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Banino manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hyland has Banino in his guard.

Banino wants to control from the top but Hyland keeps moving.
Banino slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hyland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hyland gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Banino trying to control but Hyland is having none of it.
Banino is really struggling to control Hyland but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Banino seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Hyland is holding on tight.
Banino controlling from mount.
Banino tries to control but Hyland wriggling away.
Banino is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hyland is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Banino working for a submission but Hyland is keeping him at bay.

Banino has control of Hyland's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hyland regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hyland has left one of his arms exposed and Banino doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Hyland screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
