Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jones Jr (ranked 150 p4p, 684 weight class) and Boris Matusov (ranked 22 p4p, 104 weight class). Jones Jr comes to the cage accompanied by The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Ballad of Jim Jones. On his way into the cage it seems that Jim Jones Jr has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jim Jones Jr seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Matusov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones Jr's guard.

Matusov stands and throws Jones Jr's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jones Jr moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones Jr is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Matusov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones Jr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones Jr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones Jr!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones Jr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Matusov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Matusov keeps trying to improve his position.
Jones Jr is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Matusov's shoulder. That is not cool.
Matusov tries to bench press Jones Jr off him but Jones Jr keeps the position.
Jones Jr is working Matusov over with some ground and pound from side control.
Matusov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matusov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Matusov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jones Jr off and has taken his back!

Matusov is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones Jr defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Matusov doesn't have the hooks in and Jones Jr manages to turn into his guard.

Jones Jr lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Matusov is trying to control the position but Jones Jr postures up.
Matusov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones Jr controls the pace.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Matusov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones Jr defends well.

Jones Jr is pushing down on Matusov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Matusov is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones Jr has managed to sneak the leg through.
