Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Smith (ranked 4900 p4p, 5328 weight class) and Tomasz Adamek (ranked 524 p4p, 568 weight class). Tomasz Adamek told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adamek.
Adamek looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Adamek will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Adamek looks to land a combination. Smith sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

We've been told by Smith's head coaches at Armored Fitness & Sparring that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Smith counters with a crisp one two that drops Adamek! Smith thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Adamek to his feet! Adamek is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith throws a body punch but Adamek moves out of range.

Smith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
