Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adonis Stevenson (ranked 1395 p4p, 204 weight class) and Thomas Raske (ranked 985 p4p, 138 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adonis Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Raske!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Raske circles away quickly and effectively.
Raske does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Stevenson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Thomas Raske has been cut.
Raske fails with a takedown attempt.
Thomas Raske seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A good leg kick by Raske.
We've been told by Stevenson's head coaches at Rickys House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A combination from Stevenson does no damage.
Stevenson throws a predictable looking body shot
and Raske counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stevenson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Raske wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Raske scores with a punch to the head.
Raske misses with a wild body shot.
Raske cracks Stevenson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raske lands a slapping body shot.
A good leg kick by Stevenson.
Stevenson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Raske feints a counter leg kick.
Raske tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stevenson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevenson looks to score with a jab to the body but Raske is just out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Stevenson blocks the leg kick.
Raske fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stevenson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Raske scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Raske looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Raske swings around for an armbar but Stevenson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Raske's guard.

Raske looking for a triangle here. Stevenson is fighting it but it looks tight! Raske pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Stevenson is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Thomas Raske!
In his post fight interview, Thomas Raske started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
