Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rob Tanner (ranked 265 p4p, 36 weight class) and Hefty Jack (ranked 1071 p4p, 137 weight class). The key to victory for Rob Tanner has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hefty Jack!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner throws a poor cross that misses

Jack remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

It looks like Hefty Jack has been cut.
Tanner throws a hook but Jack avoids it easily.
And Jack tries to counter it with a takedown but Tanner pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Tanner tries to bum rush Jack with a series of wild strikes but Jack uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jack takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jack connects with a nice short shot to Tanner's temple.
Tanner is staying active underneath Jack, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jack softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Tanner is out cold! Jack jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
