The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Smith.
Van Wijnbergen cracks the inside of Smith's front leg.
Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick
and Van Wijnbergen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Van Wijnbergen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Smith throws a head kick but Van Wijnbergen moves out of range.
Van Wijnbergen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Van Wijnbergen is looking to counter with a body kick.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
It looked like Van Wijnbergen was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Smith.
Van Wijnbergen lands a really nice looking cross but Smith seems unphased.
Van Wijnbergen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick by Smith misses
and Van Wijnbergen counters with a nice low kick that buckles Smith's knee momentarily.
Van Wijnbergen's corner calls for a 1-2. Van Wijnbergen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Van Wijnbergen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Van Wijnbergen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Van Wijnbergen seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Joels Van Wijnbergen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Van Wijnbergen lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Van Wijnbergen.

Smith tries to counter with a clinch but Van Wijnbergen shakes him off and moves away.

Van Wijnbergen drops Smith with a naaaaasty hook - Smith is in real trouble here! Van Wijnbergen dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
