Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane O Malley!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirigushi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. O Malley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
O Malley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
O Malley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
O Malley feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hirigushis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
O Malley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hirigushi is landing a low percentage of strikes.

O Malley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hirigushi to the ground. O Malley is now in Hirigushi's guard.

Hirigushi has his feet on O Malley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Hirigushi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
O Malley wants to break free but Hirigushi has control.
I was talking to Hirigushi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

O Malley manages to break the clinch.
O Malley throws a shot from downtown. Hirigushi moves away and avoids it.
Hirigushi throws a big counter combination but O Malley scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Hirigushi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but O Malley paws at him with a jab and circles away.

O Malley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hirigushi swivels and escapes.
O Malley thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Hirigushi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
O Malley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hirigushi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hirigushi wants to clinch up but O Malley keeps it at a distance.

O Malley throws a low kick, looking for Hirigushi's leg but Hirigushi calmly moves out of range.

Kendo Hirigushi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
O Malley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
O Malley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
O Malley is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Hirigushi cracks O Malley with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! O Malley looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hirigushi finish him?
Hirigushi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Hirigushi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by O Malley.

O Malley digs a good hook to Hirigushi's body.
Hirigushi cracks O Malley on the jaw with a powerful right hand and O Malley falls backwards against the cage. Hirigushi follows up with more strikes that drop O Malley to his knees. Hirigushi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save O Malley! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kendo Hirigushi!
Kendo Hirigushi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
