Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Claudio Ty (ranked 19933 p4p, 575 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 2317 p4p, 280 weight class). Gracie has chosen Jiu Jitsu by Smoke Serpent as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 1 losses; Claudio Ty! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 4 losses; Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Ty tries to clinch there but Gracie circles away.
Gracie is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Ty tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Our spies down at at Rio Fight Academy inform us that Gracie has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Ty's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Ty wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Ty is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gracie is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ty stalling away here and it's allowed Gracie to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Ty sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard.

Ty wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.
