Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evgenii Mamchenko (ranked 16987 p4p, 648 weight class) and Bornas Lopette (ranked 3502 p4p, 396 weight class). Lopette has chosen Root Of All Evil as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Evgenii Mamchenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 50 - 45 - 3, fighting out of New York, Bornas Lopette!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopette tries to score with a low kick but Mamchenko moves his leg out of the way.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lopette lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mamchenko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mamchenko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mamchenko slips a jab and a cross from Lopette.
Mamchenko lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Bornas Lopette has been cut.
Mamchenko avoids the body shot from Lopette.
Lopette throws a hook but Mamchenko blocks it.
Mamchenko jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bornas Lopette seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mamchenko cracks Lopette with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lopette misses with a head kick.

Mamchenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lopette's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mamchenko passes Lopette's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lopette really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mamchenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lopette wants to improve his position but Mamchenko is controlling well.

Mamchenko passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lopette!
Mamchenko misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
