Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Purple Aki (ranked 1068 p4p, 129 weight class) and Shay O Donnelly (ranked 1096 p4p, 134 weight class). Aki comes into the arena with Dagestan (Remix) blaring out of the sound system. Shay O Donnelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aki misses with a wild body shot.
Aki tries to clinch but O Donnelly is having none of it.
Aki's hands are dropping dangerously low here and O Donnelly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Aki scrambles back to his feet.

Aki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches O Donnelly napping and manages to drive through into side control!
O Donnelly can't do much from the bottom here.

Aki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Aki has worked his way into a potential kimura here. O Donnelly is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Aki yanks on the arm and O Donnelly is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Aki.

A determined Purple Aki didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
