Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Madik MBaku (ranked 1359 p4p, 159 weight class) and Kal Valen (ranked 3619 p4p, 342 weight class). Kal Valen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kal Valen!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valen tries to clinch but MBaku moves out of range.
MBaku was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
MBaku jabs at Valen's body.
MBaku moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
MBaku works Valen's body with a nice hook.
Valen misses with a jab, cross combination.
A decent looking cross lands there for MBaku.
Valen misses with a hook
and MBaku counters with a beautiful punch that sends Valen to the canvas!
Valen is rocked!
It looks like Kal Valen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
MBaku postures up in Valen's guard and throws a big left but Valen blocks it.
Valen is still in real trouble! Can MBaku finish him?
Valen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Valen seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MBaku is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
MBaku throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
MBaku working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
MBaku stays in close to Valen's body and controls the position.
MBaku drops back looking for a leg! Valen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Valen manages to kick MBaku off! MBaku jumps back into Valen's guard.
MBaku loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
MBaku has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round.
MBaku prevents Valen from getting back to his feet.
Valen can't keep his opponent in guard - MBaku advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Valen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MBaku. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
MBaku looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
MBaku seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Valen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Madik MBaku!
After the fight, Madik MBaku was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
