Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bonifacio (ranked 3533 p4p, 338 weight class) and Donald Cerrone (ranked 4591 p4p, 385 weight class). Bonifacio comes to the cage accompanied by Karate - Kennedy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been told by Bonifacio 's head coaches at whitey's gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Bonifacio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cerrone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bonifacio is fending him off so far but Cerrone persists. Nope, Bonifacio circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Cerrone might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Bonifacio has got the better of the exchanges.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cerrone or perhaps it was just good defense by Bonifacio , which made it look bad.

Bonifacio walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cerrone drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bonifacio swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cerrone's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

In his post fight interview, Luigi Bonifacio started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
