The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel moves out of range as Lewis strikes.
Daniel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Daniel looks to score with a jab to the body but Lewis is just out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Daniel. That's going to slow Lewis down.
Lewis throws an off balance right hand
letting Daniel counter with a right hand.
Lewis looks to land a left hand but Daniel moved out of range nicely.
Lewis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Daniel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Daniel steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lewis. That one must have hurt.
Daniel needs to keep his hands up - Lewis had a free shot at his head there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daniel checks a leg kick nicely.
Lewis just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromDaniel.
Lewis buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Derrick Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Daniel blocks a jab.

Daniel moves into range and clinches up with Lewis.
Daniel lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lewis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lewis wants to break free but Daniel has control.

Daniel keeps control of Lewis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Lewis misses with some punches.

Lewis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Daniel manages to avoid it.
Daniel lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Derrick Lewis has been cut.
Lewis works the jab nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewis throws a hook to the side of Daniel's head but Daniel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Daniel counters with a huge left! Lewis is in big trouble! He's backing up but Daniel isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Lewis from any more damage. A dominating finish by Daniel!
