PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harry Dunn (ranked 4641 p4p, 216 weight class) and Funky Colemadina (ranked 4161 p4p, 209 weight class). Colemadina is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by immortal by adema. Funky Colemadina is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Harry Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Funky Colemadina!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn shoots in for a double leg but Colemadina sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Colemadina tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Colemadina bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dunn's guard.

Dunn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Colemadina fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dunn sprawls well initially but Colemadina persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dunn is trying to maintain the position but Colemadina is very close to passing his half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Dunn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Colemadina's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Colemadina is taking a breather. Dunn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well Colemadina has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A determined Funky Colemadina didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
