Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Baby Boy Harris (ranked 5444 p4p, 137 weight class) and Don Johns (ranked 5841 p4p, 148 weight class). Don Johns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 37 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baby Boy Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Don Johns!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns moves out of range of the body kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Johns! But no joy.
Johns connects with a right hand. Harris shakes it off.
Baby Boy Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris throws a body shot but no joy.
Johns swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A quick step to the side and Harris tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johns takes one on the button.

Harris moves into range and clinches up with Johns.
Harris has a couple of punches blocked by Johns.
Harris throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Johns blocks it with crossed arms.
Harris doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns blocking some punches.
Johns stalls.
Harris misses with the head strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris lands with a right to the head.
Harris throws an elbow but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Harris fails to land.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Harris.
Harris struggles to land a body shot inside as Johns controls his hands.

Johns breaks from the clinch.
Johns throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Harris lands with a cross.
Harris misses with a double jab
and Johns counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harris takes a swing at Johns's ribcage but misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Johns! But no joy.
Johns misses with a body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harris throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Johns.
Johns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harris was well out of range. Poor timing from Johns.
Johns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Harris moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johns blocks an elbow strike from Harris.
Johns trying to control the position but instead, Harris has worked for underhooks and has pushed Johns into the ropes.
Johns blocks an uppercut.
Harris throws an elbow that misses.
Johns blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Harris.
Harris tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Johns.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baby Boy Harris dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Harris lands a nice looking body kick.
Harris misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Johns makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Good exchange - Harris coming out on top.
Harris throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Harris scores with the left hand. Johns knows he should have avoided that one.
Harris tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Johns manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johns appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Harris fails with an attempt to clinch.
Harris throws a lazy uppercut
and Johns counters with a straight right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johns swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris slips a jab and a cross from Johns.
A telegraphed right hand from Johns misses the target.
Harris lands a jab to Johns's midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johns can do to turn this around?
Harris scores with a one two! Johns had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Nice body punch from Johns.
Harris lands a nice shot that snaps Johns's head back.
Harris moves to clinch but Johns breaks away
and Johns connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Harris is rocked!
Johns knocks out Harris with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Johns before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Johns picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Don Johns!
