Duffy comes to the cage accompanied by Brawl - Bloody spit. West has chosen Sober as his entrance music. Carney Duffy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Carney Duffy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wayde West!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West looks for a takedown but Duffy sprawls well.
Duffy attempts a counter takedown but West avoids it well and moves away.
West has his takedown stuffed
and Duffy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Carney Duffy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Wayde West has been cut.
Duffy tries a low kick but West avoids it.
West ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

West shoots in and bounces Duffy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Duffy pulls West in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West lands a couple of digs.
Duffy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Duffy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

West drops back looking for a leg! Duffy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duffy manages to kick West off! West jumps back into Duffy's guard.
Duffy has his hands on West's head, controlling the position.
West must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Duffy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Duffy is stinking the place up with his stalling.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as West checks a leg kick.
Carney Duffy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Duffy looks to throw the jab but West is out of range.
Duffy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by West.
West feints the counter takedown.
Duffy misses with a body shot.

Duffy looks to land a body kick but West moved away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duffy. West does a little dance to reset his feet.
Duffy plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

West on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Duffy. Duffy obviously looking to wear him down.
Duffy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
West has a takedown stuffed.
Carney Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wayde West.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from West.
West slips a jab from Duffy.
Despite the aggression on West's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Duffy pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Duffy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but West circles away quickly and effectively.
Duffy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
West avoids the body shot from Duffy.
Duffy throws a leg kick but West sees it coming and checks it nicely.
West shoots in looking for a takedown but Duffy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing West's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
West chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Duffy can pounce on him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duffy throws a body shot but no joy.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Duffy lands with an uppercut that bounces West off the cage and back into range.
Duffy misses with a wild body shot.

Duffy clobbers West with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

West is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

West darts in looking for a takedown but Duffy gets double underhooks and turns West into the cage.
West is still on wobbly legs! Can Duffy finish him?
West avoids the head kick by Duffy.
Duffy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Duffy keeps West at a distance using the push kick.
Duffy fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops West to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! West looks to clinch but Duffy throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! West taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
