The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Bakiyev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pain doesn't manage to clinch there - Bakiyev circles away.

Pain takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Pain does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bakiyev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Pain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bakiyev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pain goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bakiyev has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pain but great work by Bakiyev.
